Urnes Stavkirke

The Urnes Stave Church was built in the 12^th church. It is a stave church that is located at Ornes, and it runs on the Lustrafjorden in the Luster municipality in Norway, in Sogn og Fjordane County. It lies on the fjord’s eastern side, right across the fjord from the town of Solvorn, and it is roughly 3.1 miles to the east of the town Hafslo. The Norwegian name of the Urnes Stave Church is Urnes Stavkirke.

Fortidsminneforeningen has owned the church since 1881. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
