The Museum of Communication in Bern

The Museum of Communication in Bern is open on Tuesday to Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM. It is closed on Monday.

The museum has nearly everything to offer when it comes to communication, and there are a lot of memorable and fun experiences for you and your entire family. The Museum of Communication has a lot to offer to tourists. It is the only museum in all of Switzerland that is committed exclusively (and even interactively) to the whole history of human communication. Forget that the museum is located in Switzerland (and one of a kind in that country). This museum is distinct from any other museum in the entire world. The whole range extends from dialogue and body language between cultures to how information is exchanged over new media. It covers postal service and the Internet – and everything in between. This museum of communication is going to be interesting to any student or anyone who wants to understand human culture and communication a little better.

The permanent exhibitions help us understand more about ourselves, the communications we receive, how we get information through the media, and how we interact with one another. Cross-cultural communication and a broad understanding of communication in general is not something that most people are exposed to very often – either in school, in their daily lives, or at the museums in their local area. Visiting the Museum of Communication in Bern is a once in a lifetime experience, and you shouldn’t skip it if you are in Bern. Seeing the Old City is fine, but wouldn’t you want to see a whole lot more than just the medieval city center? Take the opportunity to see one of the most important museums when you’re in Bern.

There are also interactive installations with games and virtual scenes that encourage encounters and exchanges. The museums concentrates on mankind, placing him at the very center of the important issues that concern us at the turn of the new millennium.

There are different prices for adults, children, and groups.

The Museum of Communication is a great place for students of journalism and communications to visit. It is a great learning experience not just for students, but for ordinary people and children that want to learn more about the world around them (and humans interact with one another on an individual, cross-cultural, and broad scale).
