History Palau Island was settled originally in 2nd or 3rd millennia BC, i.e., mostly by the migrants of Indonesia or Philippines. Later after few years, the island is made as a part of Spanish East Indies in the year 1885. The British traders were the most prominent visitors of the Palau in the 18th century. After that the Spanish influence is expanded in the 19th century. In 1944, the United States captured this Palau from the Japan. After that, in 1979 the four of the Trust Territory districts have been joined and formed Federated States of Micronesia.
