The season of balls in Vienna begins already in January and lasts approximately until March. During this time, about 200 balls in different places of the city are being held, but the balls in the buildings of the Vienna Opera and the Hofburg Palace are considered the best. Also, once a year, the Vienna State Opera is transformed into a dance hall, to become a place of the most exciting and the most famous events in the world – the Vienna Opera Ball. It is worth to say that the most prestigious balls are the most expensive ones (sometimes the price is up to 1000 Euros), but there one can meet the political leaders, businessmen, art and sports stars.
This unique festival is undoubtedly the apex of the ball season in Vienna, with the main peak this year during the period from February 7 to March 10. It should be noted that the Vienna Opera Ball is the center of attraction of a large number of professional artists, which gives it a special charm.
