According to Cultural Studies, with the permission of the priests a Baptist Church in Washington has been changed; namely, a pristine white temple of God has become the subject of street art. A famous graffiti artist Hense and his assistants gave it a modern look, having covered its walls with drawings. They managed to paint the church in a rainbow of colors only in a few weeks.
Hense was a committee of the project, under whom his team created an abstract pattern, with each artist performing a part of it. The priests were quite pleased by their work.
It should be noted that this is not the only case when the church patronize the contemporary art. So in the church of Dresden were installed stained-glass windows, made of colored lighters.
