Muenchen - description of the city:
Muenchen is located in Bavaria, one of the German States. It is the largest city and capital of Bavaria. It is the 3rd largest city in the country. Muenchen which is often called Munich is located just north of the Bavarian Alps on the river Isar North. This is the third largest city in Germany, just behind Berlin and Hamburg. There are about 1.47 million people who live in the city limits.
The name Muenchen comes from a combination of Old High German and Latin, ad Munichen, which means “by the monks.” This comes from the Benedictine order who had a monastery in the place that would eventually become the city of Munich.
Muenchen is the home of many international and national authorities, major theaters and museums, and major universities. There are numerous international sports events, architectural attractions, conferences and exhibitions for people to visit. In addition, Oktoberfest draws many tourists each year. The city has a motto of “Munich loves you” (Munchen mag dich). The city is a traffic hub that has excellent local, national, and international connections. There is a reliable and quick public transportation system in the city, which makes it easy to get around.
There are so many things to do in Muenchen, and it is your own fault if you say that you can’t find things to do while you’re visiting here. If you visit during the right time of year, you will be able to see what Oktoberfest is like in Germany. Seeing Oktoberfest in Germany is an amazing sight, and you don’t want to miss it. If you’ve never seen an authentic German Oktoberfest festival, then you just have to. It is unlike any other American imitation festival that you’ve ever been to – you’ll see great German women, drink German beer, and get a chance to meet all the locals.
When visiting Muenchen there are several places that you must see. This includes the Eglischer Garten, Hofgarten, Glyptothek, BMW museum, Marienplatz, Munich Residenz, Bavaria statue, Alte Pinakothek, Schloss Nymphenburg, and the Blutenburg Castle. The number of museums, gardens, and castles in Muenchen makes it a must-see stop on your next visit to Germany.
The Deutsches Museum is one of the oldest and largest science museums in the world. It is on the island located in the river Isar. It consists of 3 exhibition buildings that were converted to the Verkehrsmuseum in order to transport the collections of the museum. In addition to the science museum, the city is also home to many great art museums as well as a wonderful city museum to visit as well. Having the chance to see so many great scientific displays and artistic exhibits in the unique and gorgeous country of Germany is a real treat – for you and your whole family. You will have memories of the experience for the rest of your lives. It is unlike visiting science and art museums in America. The difference is that you’re in a foreign European country, and it makes the cultural experience so much more enriching and fascinating.
