Eldoret - description of the city:
Eldoret is the name of a big city that is on the western side of the country of Kenya. It’s the biggest city within its provincial area, called Uasin Gishu Cоunty. The city’s location is around a pretty hilly area. As a result, the city has a varying elevation level above the sea level. The position of the city is varied, between around 2000 metres above sea level going up to almost 2800 metres. It has been noted that is is the fastest-growing of all of Kenya’s cities and towns, due to its rapid rise in population over the course of time.
The climatic conditions of the city are quite temperate and pleasant. Since the city is fairly elevated above the lower ground-level cities, the temperatures are not very hot. The most commonly observed high temperatures are usually between 20 and 23 degrees centigrade, with the low averages being between 12 and 14 degrees. The rainier season is in the middle of the year, usually between April and August, generally. August is usually the wettest month.
Despite being a pretty fast-growing city overall, the city does not experience much tourism or very many visitors. However, for those who do visit, the city hosts an array of decent accommodations, like hotels, inns, and resorts.
Attractions that can be visited in the city are usually a credit to the city’s history or the natural environment. Hills and mountainous areas can be visited, as well as old towns, that have stayed since the ancient tribal times, and stay as a reminder, almost as a display, of history.
