Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the entire world, and you can visit in Tierra del Fuego. It is a commonly visited destination of southern Patagonia. Bariloche is a city in the province of Rio Negro, located in the foothills of the Andes, surrounds by several lakes and mountains. It is a famous skiing destination, and it is also excellent for sight-seeing, climbing, and trekking. It is a popular family destination. Cerro Catedral is one of the most important skiing destinations in South America. Punta Tombo is a coastal region, and there is a massive amount of wildlife there - it is the breeding ground of Magellanic penguins. Peninsula Valdes is well-known as one of the best spots in Argentina to see wildlife, mostly sea mammals. You can spot sea lions, elephant seals, Magellanic penguins, and orcas. UNESCO World Heritage Sites There are several World Heritage Sites in Argentina, such as Iguazu National Park, Cave of the Hands, Jesuit missions, Peninsula Valdes, and Los Glaciares National Park, amongst others. National Parks Argentina has a massive National Park system, preserving much of the natural beauty in the country, and it includes more than a dozen national parks. Tourist AttractionsIbera Wetlands The Ibera Wetlands are the second-biggest wetlands in the world outside of the Pantanal in Brazil. It is an awesome paradise for people tha glove nature. It has some of the most amazing wildlife in all of Argentina. Visitors can spot armadillos, maned wolves, howler monkeys, pampas deer, and capybaras. Ushuaia Ushuaia is on the Beagle Channel. It is thought to be the southernmost city on the globe. It was once used as a missionary base, naval base, and penal colony, but it is currently a big tourist attraction. It has restaurants, hotels, and casinos on-site. The town is a good launching-off point for cruises, skiing, and hiking. The Mendoza Wine Region The Mendoza wine region is the center of the winemaking industry in Argentina. The vineyards are planted at some of the highest altitudes on the globe. If you want to tour the vineyards, go to the city of Mendoza. Monte Fitz Roy Monte Fitz Roy is a very high mountain in the Southern Patagonian Ice Field on the border between Chile and Argentina. The mountain attracts lots of nature photographers from around the world. It was first ascended in 1952. Beagle Channel The Beagle Channel is a strait in the Tierra del Fuego Archipelago, in the southernmost part of Argentina. The channel is one of the three passages around South America.
