Vilnius is one of the most beautiful cities of the former Soviet Union. Among the architectural monuments can be marked out the remains of the Upper Castle (14 – 15th centuries), the old town with its buildings of the 15-18th centuries, the Cathedral and the Town Hall (18th century), the St. Anne’s Church (16th century), and the St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church (17th century).
