Tirana - description of the city:

Tirana is Arabian capital, its cultural and economic point. Tirana was founded by the Turks in 1613 year and was called Teheranno, but the city became a capital only in 1920 year. The city is a national, production, commercial, and cultural main point of the country.

Albanian capital is situated in the valley between the mountains, at the bottom of Daichi mountain. To get there is possible by a cable car. There is also the eponymous National Park. Daichi is one of the favorite places of the townspeople, who used to spent weekend the whole family. The Soviet Union has contributed to the formation of the image of Tirana. There were built many buildings in those days, when the Communist Party of the Soviet Union was «friends» with the Albanian Communist Party. In the Albanian capital is still stands a statue of Lenin.

Tiranа is not only interesting place, but also a convenient city. In the city everything is very compact, so it is perfect for hiking and scrutiny. In the city is the National Museum of History, which, incidentally, is the largest museum in Albaniа. City`s guests can get to know the culture and history of the country and the city there. Another point of interest of Tiranа is an International Hotel. it is the tallest building in the country. In addition, its facade is decorated with incredible beauty of a huge mural mosaic.

In Tirana is the annual Opera Festival of Mary Cray. In the city are not many nightclubs. In general, Albaniаns prefer evening walks along the central boulevards and streets, where they meet with their friends and acquaintances, communicate, and share the news.
