Si Racha

Si Racha - description of the city:

Si Racha city is a town of Chonburi province, in the eastern part of Thailand. It is also a capital of the same name province. The city is located on the eastern coast of the Gulf of Thailand, it is about 120 km in the south-east of Bangkok. Si Racha is close enough to Pattaya, just 30 km.

In the city are not any special attractions, except Sriracha Tiger Zoo and a nearby island Sichang. So, the city is not a popular place for tourists, but for people who stay in Thailand half year and more, or who already live in, Si Racha may be of interest by local home prices and living at all. The city Tiger Zoo is famous far beyond of the province. Even Thai people like to visit this place. In Si Racha is also producing a spice sauce with the same name, which makes this small town more popular. On the island is a huge shopping center- TEC Pacific Park. It is a four-story building where is option to purchase all. There are also the department store Robinson and the cinema on the top floor.

In Si Racha well-developed tourist infrastructure: hotels, restaurants, bars, massage parlors, two parks, huge shopping centers and shops, there is even own computer and digital technology store- Tuk Com. Because the city is close to Pattaya, a lot of things there seem are similar. But, considered that Si Racha is better because there are not such crowds of tourists. On the Sichang island the sea is even cleaner then on the, for example, Koh Lan island. Sichang has its own history, Considered that it was the first island which tourist started to visit. It was at the end of 19 century. It is also the closest island to the Bangkok and in the past the King rested there. But anyway, for today on Si Racha not too much people, only on the weekends Thais come there to rest.
