Les Diablerets Introduction

Les Diablerets is a ski resort and mountain villaged located in the Ormont-Dessus municipality in the Vaud Canton of Switzerland.

The village has an altitude of over 1,000 meters on the north side of the Diablerets massif in the Alps. You can access it by train or by road from the municipality of Aigle. You can get to the Bernese Oberland region via the Col du Pillon on the east.

Les Diablerets is an important tourist spot for adventure sports, and it is situated between Gstaad and Lake Geneva. Even in the summertime, the ski region of Glacier 3000 offers glacier viewing and skiing in the Vaud Alps, and it does so over an expansive area.

In the Middle Ages, the tiny village was surrounded by a rock wall, and the rock wall was considered a cursed and dangerous place where the devil did his work. So, the name of the place, Les Diablerets, also comes from the French ‘le Diable’, which means the devil. No one needs to fear what Les Diablerets has to offer today: fun adventure sports. Younger guests are well accommodated at this ski resort, and there are a number of child-friendly activities, events, low prices, and infrastructure that suit young people.

Summertime Fun

Active guests will really get a lot out of Les Diablerets. Snowboarding and skiing into the early summer is possible. There is a wide range of adventure sports available, like motorcycling, mountain biking, hydro speed, canyoning, and hydro speed. There are also traditional sports worth doing, such as mountain biking, walking, and hiking. The Aigle museum is close to Lake Geneva, and Gsaad resort is a good place to visit too.

Whatever your fancy, there are a lot of things to do at the resort. The summertime is a perfect time to visit, especially the early summertime, because you can still go skiing there at that time. Do you like having fun outdoors? Do you like adventure sports? Then this is your place.
