Davos is located in the Prattigau/Davos district, and it is a municipality in the Graubunden canton in the country of Switzerland. It has a permanent resident population of roughly 11,150 people. It is situated on the Landswasser, in the Alps, between the Albula and Plessure Range. At 5,120 feet, it has the highest elevation of any city in Europe.
Davos hosts the World Economic Forum (WEF), a yearly meeting of business and global elites (sometimes just referred to as Davos), and it is also the site of some of the biggest ski resorts in Switzerland. At every year’s end, it acts as the site of the Spengler Cup. The Spengler Cup is an ice hockey tournament, and the HC Davos hockey team hosts it.

The majority of the population is German-speaking (roughly 86%), and Serbo-Croatian is the 2nd most commonly spoken language (roughly 3%) and Italian is the 3rd most commonly spoken language (about 3%).
The gender distribution of the place is pretty even at 50/50.
Davos has an unemployment rate that is under 1%, which is very good. About 75% of the population have finished either their upper secondary education or further higher education of some kind.
