Phra Pradaeng is a part of Samut Prakan province in Thailand. It is located near districts Rat Burana, Thung Khru, Phra Khanong, Yan Nawa. All of this are located in Bag Na province. There is also Chao Phraya river. To Bangkok from Phra Pradaeng just 25 km, and as Samut Prakan the district is also included in Bangkok Metropolitan Region.

The history of Phra Pradaeng in many ways similar to the history of Samut Prakan. The first settlement founded in Phra Pradaeng in Ayutthaya period. The modern city and several fortresses were built at the behest of King Rama II in 1819th.  

In Phra Pradaeng the same tourist attractions as in Samut Prakan province. But one place should be considered more specifically-Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market. It is a place where possible to by everything and numerous positive reviews prove that  this market is worth a visit. This place works only on the weekends. For local residents the market has become a favorite place for pastime in a weekend. Because this market is located on the way to Suvarnabhumi airport some tourist like to spend there few hours before departure. Phra Pradaeng is also a popular venue for the Songkran Festival. There are also a lot of another small shopping malls and hotels. 

In general, Phra Pradaeng district is more Thai place, for locals. This area combines the features of a both of Sabut Prakan province and Band Na district. So, for tourists will be interesting to explore the nearest places in Samut Prakan province as a crocodile farm or Bang Pu Reserve.
