The Italian city of Lucca introduces the tourist tax

Lucca after the other cities of Italy has decided to charge tourist tax. According to the law, which adopted the local administration, starting from April 1, tourists will have to fork up. It is noteworthy that the tax rate will be determined depending on the cost of the hotel room. In particular, the tax for a stay in the room with a price from 1 to 29 euros is 1 euro, with a price from 30 to 69 euros - 1.5 euros, from 70 to 99 euros - 2 euros, from 100 to 129 euro - 2.5 euro, and from 130 euros and above - 3 euros.

The tax will be imposed only on the first three days of the stay. Children under 14 years, those who visit relatives in the city hospitals, the disabled and their escorts will be exempted from payments in the budget of the city.
