According to Euromag, starting from mid-January, the tourists using the services of German airline Lufthansa will be forced to pay more for overweight baggage.
Prices for overweight baggage partially were even doubled. For example, a trunk weighting 23 kg, which exceeds the allowed length of 158 centimeters, on internal European flights in economy class will not cost 50, but 100 Euros more.
If the luggage is not only bigger in size, but also heavier of what is allowed (limit - 32 kg), its price will rise from 100 to 150 Euros. On intercontinental flights, the new prices for overweight baggage are two times higher than on internal European ones.
