Kilifi - description of the city:

The city Kilifi is located in the nation of Kenya, in the edge of the ocean. This city is mainly a resort/vacation town and is known for the oceanic atmosphere. The city is populated by more than 120 thousand inhabitants.

In regards to location and setting, the town is set upon a river leading to the sea, on both sides of the area where the river empties into the ocean. Both sides of the city are joined together by a bridge. Each section of the partitioned city have their own interesting aspects and beauty.

The area where the city is in experiences an overall warm temperature. The moderately hot climatic conditions are broken twice per year with periods of precipitation. The rainy times are usually pretty mоderate. As far as the geological state of the area, it’s fairly flat ground with decent soil areas, making a healthy environment for many local trees to grow.

Economically, the town has grown significantly in its history. It has gone from being a relatively unimportant fishing village to a city with a reasonable amount of activity and industry. This transformation can be credited to local nut harvesting businesses, which export cashews worldwide. In addition to this, tourism has a present in the economy, with hotels and resorts thriving, bring lucrative for the country.

The city also has a respected university, with faculties that are very respected in the fields of marine science and agriculture.
